On Architecture and Implementation
There is a lot of very good publications on Business and IT Architecture. There are several good 'mehods' and 'approaches' towards setting up a solid architecture for your business and your IT, but in the end it boils down to 2 questions that need to be answered:
- how do we structure and organize our information and business processes in such a way that we can achieve our strategic targets
- what are the decision making principles we use when we implement the architectures.
In the following series of articles I'll try to separte the 'main subjects' from the 'minor details' when it comes to business and IT architecture and architecture implementation. I will not be exhaustive on this subject. I only mention the subjects from the last 20 years of practical experience in this field.
